MetroWest Medical Center was employing their own teacher for more than 10 years. After looking at the numbers, they realized that they were unable to recoup all of their costs. Not only was the program running at a deficit, but now they realized they were paying money to have a program that they knew wasn’t reaching its full potential. The kids didn’t want to go to school and when they did, it wasn’t uncommon for them to leave the room very upset. They also found it difficult to evaluate and train their teacher as there were no other teachers in this facility and the administration had no experience as educators.
